The friendly town of Stafford is located in Stafford [SF] County only a few miles east of St. John, the county seat. Broadway Street is “old” US-50 and connects the two. A newer highway running along the south edge of town now gets the through traffic. The area is flat and sandy with some dune-like sand hills.
The AT&SF railroad runs east/west across Stafford County passing through town. The Union Pacific also has track here, once part of the Missouri-Pacific, but it is abandoned.
